Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Jeremy Stephens In The Works For Vegas Barnburner

Fights of undefeated mixed martial artists attract a large following since many want to witness whether an opponent will spoil a flawless record or the fighter will defend his track once more. Zabit Magomedsharipov has never lost a UFC fight and is now targeted to take on Jeremy Stephens in March.

According to an initial report from ESPN, the UFC is eyeing a featherweight match between Magomedsharipov (16-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and Stephens (28-15) for UFC 235. It will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 2.

    Impressive Winning Streak

‘ZaBeast’ is riding a 12-fight winning streak in MMA and has been undefeated on his past four Octagon bouts. If finalised, fighting ‘Lil’ Heathen’ can be a major step-up for the blooming featherweight.

Magomedsharipov won three of his UFC fights by way of submission, even scoring one against Brandon Davis with a rare Suloev Stretch kneebar at UFC 228 in September. The 27-year-old only lost one of his MMA bouts to Igor Igorov in 2013.

Stephens, on the other hand, recently celebrated his back-to-back knockout wins over Doo Ho Choi and Josh Emmett before suffering a first-round TKO loss to former featherweight champ Jose Aldo this year. It was a busy career for the veteran fighter who has been in 43 fights since entering the sport in 2005.

If his UFC 235 match comes to fruition, Stephens will join Jim Miller as one of only two fighters with at least 30 UFC appearances. Here’s the active fighter recently making an unofficial announcement on Instagram, vowing to display an impressive play.

“I declare to victorious again, I welcome the challenge this fight brings and I’m confident in these challenges I’ll overcome in a fantastic performance.”

Unofficial fight card to look out for at UFC 235:

    Robbie Lawler Vs Ben Askren
    Zabit Magomedsharipov Vs Jeremy Stephens
    Tecia Torres Vs Weili Zhang
    Diego Sanchez Vs Mickey Gall

UFC President Dana White has put fans’ hopes up after announcing that Nick Diaz will return to the Octagon against Jorge Masvidal at the main event of UFC 235. However, the champagne bottles may have been popped too soon because ‘Diablo’ recently denied agreeing to the fight.
