Yair Rodriguez Returns To Knock The Korean Zombie Out With Bizarre Elbow Technique…
So the 25th-anniversary event for the UFC has concluded, taking place where it all began 25 years ago to the date in Denver. To make things even more nostalgic the original UFC logo was smack bang in the middle of the Octagon. The main event was originally meant to be Frankie Edgar against Chan Sung Jung but was changed due to injury, to Yair Rodriguez. With Cowboy Cerrone and Mike Perry in the co-main…
With a very exciting night of fights and perhaps one of the greatest knockouts of all time in the main event it really was everything Dana and UFC fans around the world could’ve wanted. It’s strange to think 25 years ago MMA was unheard of and for ‘brutes’ now we get to witness geniuses like Yair Rodriguez show what MMA is truly about, Martial Arts.
The main event was nothing short of spectacular, two fighters with entertaining styles coming together to slug it out, and they definitely did. Contesting for fight of the year, night and knockout of the year, does this really sound like something you would’ve wanted to miss?

The fight stayed on the feet for the whole 24 minutes 59 seconds it lasted. That’s right, it was stopped in the final second, literally. The Korean Zombie came back and lived up to his nickname once again, never moving backward and taking shots that could’ve knocked a lot of people out. But he was up on the scorecards and 1 second away from a win.
In the last ten seconds both fighters agreed to slug it out, Max Holloway style, failing to land one of his flashy kicks for the KO, Rodriguez ducked stepped past Jung and unleashed a devastating elbow that put Jung out cold with one second remaining. A fight for many years to come. What a way to close the event. Hats off to both fighters.
