Conor McGregor’s Clone Has Been Found At German MMA Show

Will the Conor McGregor please stand up?

Over the weekend, a mixed martial artist from Germany has fans wondering if the former double champion has already left the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Featherweight fighter Maurice Adorf made noise online on Saturday after a video of his fight at a German MMA Championship event went viral.

The reason: he is like a clone of UFC megastar, McGregor.

A lot of people have tried to impersonate the Irish star but no one can even come close to Adorf’s mimicry as he boasts the same looks, fighting style, mannerisms, cage antics, and Conor’s sensational left hand.

Clone

On Saturday, Maurice Adorf appeared on his second MMA bout at GMC 18 in Hamburg, Germany. He was eyeing his second consecutive following a successful debut in October last year.

Adorf was the clear favourite to win the featherweight bout.

Aside from size and skill advantage over his opponent, Ridvan Nuka, his coach also serves as the promoter of the Saturday fight card.

And as expected, the German featherweight coasted to an easy technical knockout victory in the opening round, with Adorf landing powerful knees and punches.

Watch the video of the fight below:

Adorf improved to a 2-0 win-loss record after stamping his class over Nuka. But the victory was even sweeter as he caught the attention of the MMA world for his resemblance to UFC superstar, Conor McGregor.

Adorf reminded MMA fans of the Irish star because of his fighting style, mannerisms, and looks.

ESPN’s Ariel Herwani was amazed by the similarity of his mannerisms to Conor while some called him as McGregor’s clone.

Thankful

As for the real former McGregor, he has been hitting the news recently after the Nevada State Athletic Commission issued its final decision to the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.

McGregor was fined $50 000 and will be suspended for six months while his rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, McGregor, meanwhile, was fined $50 000 and will be suspended for six months.

While Khabib was not happy with the verdict, McGregor said that the decision was “fair” and went on to thank the commission for handling the case well.

Taking to Twitter, the ex-double champ issued his statement on the UFC 229 brawl hearing.

“I am thankful for the Nevada athletic commissions fair assessment and handling of the brawl incident.”

“It was not my intention to land the final blow of the night on my opponent’s blood relative. It’s just how it played out. I look forward to competing again soon. Thank you all.”

He then bragged about landing the final blow on the eve of UFC 229 ugly fracas.

“Straight left hand inside the attacker’s jab. He attempted to use the big security guard that’s in all the movies as cover, but I could smell him a mile away and landed flush down the pipe. The final blow of the night UFC 229 in association with McGregor Sports and Entertainment.”
