UFC 229 takes place tomorrow night (Saturday, October 6, 2018) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The mecca of the fight game, MMA’s central hub plays host to an event being dubbed ‘the biggest of all time.’ Awaiting fans in attendance and watching around the planet is a clash of titans in the main event.

Undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov is 26-0, 10-0 UFC and has never lost a round. Having been absent from MMA for the past two years, Conor McGregor comes back amid a storm of media hype. The two collide in their prime and the MMA world is hypnotized by this fight. Needless to say, Khabib and McGregor didn’t need to do much after the UFC 223 bus incident.

McGregor’s dolly-throwing trash talking antics have done more than enough to make this a monster event. ‘The Notorious’ recently stated the trending figures indicate a 3-million PPV buy level:

“We’re estimating around 3 to 3.5 million (pay-per-view buys), I’d say I’ll close in around the $50 million mark,” McGregor told the media during the pre-fight press conference on Thursday. “So for a mixed martial artist – to make $50 million in a mixed martial arts bout, it’s quite breathtaking.”

“To think where we have come from. When I fought Nate Diaz the first time, he was on $20,000 to show and $20,000 to win,” McGregor said. “The game has gone to so many new heights so quickly, and we’re all just trying to keep up and catch up. And it’s a great time to be involved in the sport for myself, for the fighters, for the promoters, for the managers, for the media in attendance, for the fans, for everyone.”

“Times are good, so let’s enjoy these momentous occasions.”

The two put on a brilliant show for the fans at the ceremonial weigh-ins earlier this evening. Watch it here and check out the Twitter reactions below:
