Twitter Reacts To Israel Adesanya & Anderson Silva’s Mind Melting Fight

Instant classic.

Israel Adesanya may have prevailed over Anderson Silva in the main event of UFC 234 but both fighters earned the respect of the MMA world after putting up a classic three-round middleweight showdown at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

The Nigerian born Kiwi fighter cruised to a unanimous decision victory, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28, to extend his winning streak to five fights at UFC and potentially get the next crack at the middleweight belt.

But fans were also thrilled on Silva’s performance as he showed his vintage perform against his younger opponent.

The middleweight bout featuring Israel Adesanya and Anderson Silva has been moved to the main event of UFC 234 after the division’s king Robert Whittaker withdrew from his showdown against Kevin Gastelum due to injury.

The MMA legend returned to the cage after almost two years of layoff.

His most recent win was way back February 2017 against Derek Brunson at UFC 208 via unanimous decision.

Adesanya, meanwhile, has won all his four fights since making his debut early last year.

His last victim was the same opponent, but he finished the sixth-ranked middleweight quicker after a decisive first-round technical knockout victory at UFC 230.

On Saturday night, the two fighters with the same fighting style and finishing ability finally met in the cage and they did not disappoint.
