Sweet Honey Recipes to Lower Your Stress

If you’ve been to the doctor’s office lately and they can’t figure out the cause of your ailments, the doctors probably informed you that “it’s caused by stress.” And they could be right. Stress is one of the biggest and most vicious “killers” in our modern way of life. Just imagine this scenario:

Let’s say you are 35 years old and you have two children and a mediocre job. Your day starts with the children screaming, you arrive at work all stressed out, your boss starts harassing you, and you still have to pay the bills. Well, for most of us, this is just another day at the office. Stress has become such an integral part of our lives that we have embraced it as something normal. Stress can seriously interfere with your life, job, family, health, and so much more.

There are so many ways to manage and treat stress, but I want to show you three honey-based remedies. But first, let’s take a quick look at some of the causes of stress.

Causes of stress

There are various stress triggers (for the most part, we don’t suffer from the same triggers). But there are some that are universal:

  • Work stress (unhappy in your job, heavy workload, working long hours, too much responsibility)
  • Working under dangerous conditions
  • Divorce
  • Loss of a job
  • Death of a loved one
  • Marriage
  • Chronic illness
  • Chronic injury
  • Emotional problems
  • Traumatic event
  • Fear and uncertainty
  • Attitudes and perception
  • Unrealistic expectations
  • Change in any way

That being said, I would like to introduce you my easy remedies for calming your nerves.

It starts with physical signs like headache, fatigue, upset stomach, irritability, and difficulty sleeping.

However, stress also causes more serious and severe conditions, such as:

  • Depression
  • High blood pressure
  • Heart attack
  • Weight gain or weight loss
  • Skin problems, such as psoriasis and eczema
  • Abnormal heartbeat
  • Heartburn
  • Upset stomach (constipation and diarrhea)
