Fans Are Calling Inflated Ticket Prices For UFC London ‘Rip Off’

Fans in the UK are not happy about overpriced UFC tickets being sold by secondary ticketing sites.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will visit the United Kingdom for the first time this year as it hosts the UFC on ESPN+ 5. The MMA event will be headlined by a welterweight fight featuring Jorge Masvidal and Liverpudlian Darren Till.

But MMA fans might have missed the opportunity to watch the show live as they have found out that the tickets for UFC London are being sold two or three times of its original price by secondary parties.

Darren Till will be staying in the welterweight division for his fight with Jorge Masvidal at UFC London and his plans to move at 185 will not happen at least until March.

The 26-year old expressed his interest on moving to different weight class after a failed attempt to dethrone Tyron Woodley at UFC 228. Till was submitted by the welterweight champ in the second round, which gave him his lone loss in his UFC record and ended a six-fight winning streak, which includes victories over Thompson and Cerrone.

He has collected five wins, one loss, and a draw since his UFC debut in 2015. “The Gorilla” will try to return in the win column as he is set to fight in front of his home fans on March 16 at The O2 Arena in London.

However, the home fans may miss the chance of supporting their local hero live as secondary ticketing sites are selling tickets for UFC London two or three times their price.

It was found out that Viagogo, an online ticket marketplace, was responsible for this mess, which forced MMA fans to air their dismay on social media. From the ticket’s original price of £80, it is being sold by up to £721 through the online marketplace.
