Bodybuilders do not normally excel in mixed martial arts, but the “Scariest Man on the Planet’s” MMA training has fans worried about the life of his first opponent in the cage.

Looking at his training videos, it seems like Ford is breaking his neck to develop the combat skills he needs to seize his first scary win. On one of the 36-year-old giant’s drills, he stressed the importance of putting on the practice before entering a battle.

Speaking with MMAFighting.com, Ford said he wasn’t worried about online trolls:

“I’m not really bothered with the 40-year-old guys who are online taking the piss. I’m more concerned about the young people,” he said.

“I want them to believe that they can do anything they put their minds to if they completely dedicate themselves to something. There aren’t a lot of people explaining to our younger generation that it’s going to take a lot of hard work, but if you put the work in you can change your life and be a success.”

“This is purely about passion. I’ve always wanted to be a sportsperson and my early cricket injury only intensified that. It’s like my first love that got away. I’ve always had that void in my life and this feels like another opportunity to fulfill it. “They’re big boys, man; they’re all 6’5” or 6’6”, 18 or 19 stone [252 to 266 pounds] and they’re all training five or six years. My coach is still being very nice to me. Excitingly, the ‘Nightmare’ seems to be aware of the demands of combat sports. Preparing himself early, Ford is already laying the groundwork of mixed martial arts.

On another thrilling preparation, Ford is putting in two of the most crucial elements: hard work and dedication.

“Working day and night to bring this plan together, one thing I will not be beaten on is HARD WORK and DEDICATION !!! Each day is a step in the right direction, sticking to a plan and following through with my commitment.”

Ford believes he will develop strength, speed and extreme hunger for victory in no time. Now that he is only one step closer to the debut, everyone is hoping we are also a step closer to seeing a goliath square off against another inside the cage.

Recent rumours say that Ford’s first mixed martial arts bout will be against a 360-pound monster called the “Iranian Hulk.”
