It’s been more than a year since former UFC champion Ronda Rousey joined pro wrestling, but some things remain the same. One of these is her shadowboxing skills.
Rousey recently demolished Ruby Riott at the Elimination Chamber to keep hold of her shot at the main event of Wrestlemania 35 this April opposite Charlotte Flair. But before scoring an impressive win, fans got a glimpse of her ugly shadowboxing, which drew jeers on social media.
Ronda Rousey burst onto the wrestling scene back in January 2018, making a surprise appearance at Royal Rumble, where she had a confrontation with some of the WWE women’s champions. It was then revealed that the ex-UFC bantamweight queen had inked a full-time contract with the wrestling promotion.
She has been with WWE for more than a year now. She won the Raw Women’s Championship in August against Alexa Bliss and went on to submit her in their rematch in September. Last month, her first defeat at WWE came after losing to Sasha Banks and Bayley in a tag team match.
“Rowdy” returned to the win column last night after defeating Ruby Riott at the Elimination Chamber to retain her Raw Women’s Championship title. But it seems like fans were more thrilled with her pre-game ritual than her actual clash with the 28-year old as they feasted on Rousey’s shadowboxing clip on social media.

However, multiple reports claimed last month that Rousey’s days with the WWE might be numbered as she is rumoured to leave the promotion this April after her stint at the Wrestlemania 35.
“There is a very good chance that Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with WWE at WrestleMania,” The Wrestling Observer published on its previous report.
“There was a decent amount of talk this past week internally, since we heard it from several people, that Rousey would finish up at WrestleMania. That may not be decided as that aspect is just the feeling people had since it’s the logical ending everyone came to based on the situation. As of today, this was the plan.”
The 32-year old will lock horns with Charlotte Fair in a historic main event clash this April. Rousey reportedly sustained a head injury after Becky Lynch gave her vicious blows to the head at last night’s Raw Championship match.
Before joining WWE, Rousey was the biggest star at UFC’s women’s division and has dominated the bantamweight class for over three years until Holly Holm dealt her first career loss.
She ended her UFC career with a loss to Amanda Nunes but became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
