How could someone leave this dog alone? Maybe we forgot that animals have feelings too, humans.
“He’s scared and lost, deaf and confused. He was dumped on Dowdy Ferry Road to DIE!”
Just looking at these photos makes me unhappy and heartbroken. This dog is desperate for attention and look at how he put his paw out and begged to be saved.
JJ is a nine-month-old pit bull. When he was found on Dowdy Ferry Road in Dallas, the abandoned pit bull was scared, lost, deaf and confused.
This place is known as a place where people leave dogs and many ends up getting hit by cars, The Dodo reported. Knowing that JJ is deaf, thank goodness he managed to survive.
“Animal control found him out there living on his own,” Patti Dawson, president of Dallas DogRRR, a local rescue group, told The Dodo. “He was pretty emaciated … you could see his rib lines. I don’t know how long he lived out there on the streets, but he pretty much fended for himself out there until he was rescued.”
He’s Reaching out for Someone to Save His Life
JJ may be safe from vehicles on the streets, however, his kennel didn’t provide him with enough contentment.
“It’s not really a shelter — it’s really a shack, and there are only six kennels,” Dawson said. “Nobody visits it, and you can’t even go and reclaim your dog there. If you’re missing a dog in town, you have to go to the city, and the city will go check and see if the dog is there.”
The shelter needed some spaces, so JJ’s time was up. He was taken to his kennel and put on the euthanasia list two weeks later.
As luck would have it, the lonely pit bull caught the attention of a woman named Marina Tarashevska. Marina is a regular visitor to the shelter to help network the dogs.

“He was putting his paw out, and begging to be saved,” Tarashevska said. “It was so sad because it’s so scary at that shelter … and he was so lost in there. It’s the most heartbreaking thing to leave a dog who’s begging you like that.”
Without hesitation, Ms Dawson agreed when Tarashevska reached out to her and asked if Dallas DogRRR could get him out of the shelter. She got JJ to the vet and now he’s enjoying his foster home.
JJ Is Home
Easily scared pit bull but now he’s learning to have fun. He is improving every day, and he’s developing his inquisitive nature at his foster home.
According to Ms Dawson, he runs around the backyard and his foster mom takes him on long walks. He also loves his snacks and loves just laying there and chewing on a Kong.
JJ will stay in foster care for a little while. The team at Dallas DogRRR is planning on getting him evaluated by an animal behaviourist to have his vision and hearing fully checked. But eventually, he’ll be up for adoption — and he’ll be looking for the perfect family, The Dodo reported.
“We want to get him into a nice, loving home,” Dawson said.
