UFC 226 is a remarkable bout for the Paul Felder
Despite losing his UFC 226 fight against Mike “Platinum” Perry, Paul Felder has surely proven something: he is an insanely tough fighter. Remember how much blood he shed during the fight in the weekend?
Not only did he finish three bloody rounds brawling his best out against Perry, he also broke an arm bad.
After the first bell, Felder told his team in the corner that an injured arm worries him. Imagine going through two more with a bone not in place?
Yes, you read that right. Apparently, Felder, ‘worrying’ over his harmed arm is an understatement.
You’ll never believe how severe it was
Giving that he finished the fight with a broken bone in his arm, Felder indeed has a high pain tolerance. In his Instagram post yesterday, Felder shared a snap of his X-ray results.
Captioned: “One week’s notice, go up a weight class, fight 2.5 rounds with a broken arm… hold my beer.”
Perry was supposed to fight Yancy Medeiros but it was called off due to the Hawaiian-born fighter’s broken rib. It was just a little over a week when Felder stepped in and accepted the bout on short notice.
Despite this, he managed to put up a great show.
Hold my beer
Looking back at the Felder vs Perry fight, a massive blood spill happened inside the cage as the “Irish Dragon” fought Perry in a welterweight bout at UFC 226 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This fight isn’t either the main card or the co-main event, but it somehow felt like it was. UFC 226’s co-main card match Derrick Lewis vs Francis Ngannou bored the daylight out of its audience, even tagging it as the ‘worst’ fight ever. So this is supposed to be the fight we’ve never expected to excite us this much.
During the three rounds of brutal action, Perry did a lot of damage on Felder, breaking his arm along the way. In the end, it was a split decision win in favour of Perry.
