Nate Diaz Wants UFC to Fire Him Instead of Khabib Teammate

Almost a week has passed when one of the biggest fights in UFC history turned into a night of brawls, inside and outside the Octagon.

Now, UFC 229 still continue to sprout out new developments on the post-fight fracas that happened just after Khabib Nurmagomedov tapped out Conor McGregor in a fourth-round rear-naked choke.

The Russian fighter lost his temper after McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis allegedly threw offensive comments at him mid-fight. “The Notorious” and more of Khabib’s allies also had their fair share of melees.

“You’ll Lose Me Too”

On Thursday, the undisputed lightweight champion released a savage statement addressed to the promotion and NSAC in a lengthy Instagram post. This was after President Dana White decided to strip off Khabib’s teammate from the promotion for attacking McGregor.

“If you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise, I’ll break it myself.”

Tracing back, “The Eagle” has once brought up what he feels are double standards when it comes to White’s treatment on the former double champ.

Nate Diaz, who’s watching from the sidelines as the Khabib vs UFC drama slowly unfolds, has a proposal for fairness’ sake:

Calls Out Dana White

“Fire me, it will be better this way.”

Apparently, Diaz is in the mood to join the drama, saying White should just fire him for things to be fair. It has been a rough week for Khabib after NSAC withheld his and his coach’s paycheck, adding up to the brawl’s repercussions on his teammate’s end.

Diaz, on the other hand, is supposed to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 but the latter was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an undisclosed injury. Reports are now saying he’s on the waiting game for a lightweight shot vs Khabib.

Diaz has just responded on Khabib’s fury against UFC with witty antics. Now, every MMA fan is on the lookout for what White has to say on this breakup threat.
