It seems that UFC star Nate Diaz loves getting into melees on minor mixed martial arts tourneys.
As per report from TMZ.com, the 33-year old slugger was seen brawling with some audience at a jiu-jitsu event in Sacramento, California last Friday.
The UFC star was present in the event called Fight to Win Pro 77.
He was there to support his students from his own jiu-jitsu academy.
Based on some attendees, Diaz was provoked by a fan who was talking shit about his entourage.
Although he was on the edge of the footage, there was a moment where he was caught throwing punches against a certain participant.
But police records say otherwise. There were no reports from the authorities citing his participation on the said fracas.
Moreover, the Sacramento Police Department did not arrest anybody and Diaz avoided ejection from the event. Also, no charges were filed.
It was not the first time that Diaz got involved in a fight outside the cage. Back in May, he clashed with UFC fighter Clay Guida in a skirmish at the Combate Americas event.
Same place, same result.
It was also in Sacramento where that skirmish happened.
Guida sued Diaz for assault but the case was still pending as per Guida’s Manager.
The California-native fighter is famous for his high-profile clash in the octagon. He has pulled off major victories against marquee names such as Conor McGregor, Donald Cerrone, and Takanori Gomi.
But in 2016, Diaz bowed to McGregor in a rematch at the UFC 202 via majority decision. After the loss, he has taken a major hiatus from the sport.
Rumors have it that Diaz will return to UFC actions this August. He is reportedly in talks for the UFC 227 but no fight has been officially confirmed.
Will this be the last time Nate Diaz engage in a fight? We hope so. We also hope he returns to the cage very soon.
