It will be power vs power when five-time World Strongest Man titlist Mariusz Pudzianowski lock horns with Olympic gold medalist weightlifter Szymon Kolecki in the Octagon.
Both mixed martial arts powerhouses are looking to bounce back from a stinging loss as they will meet in an intriguing clash in the main card of Poland’s premier MMA promotion, Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki or KSW 47.
Earlier last month, the promotion released a teaser for this titanic clash, calling the fight the most powerful MMA fight of all-time. And just last week, a full trailer was dropped to build more hype.

KSW 47 will kick off on March 23 at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland. Fans can watch the fight card live at KSWTV.com.
Battle of Strength
The renowned weightlifter Mariusz Pudzianowski, a mainstay at the Polish MMA promotion, will return to actions this month for the KSW 47.
He has been rumoured to square off with actor and bodybuilder Martyn Ford, but he was booked to fight the newcomer, Szymon Kolecki.
The veteran fighter will try to get back on winning track after seeing his three-fight winning streak snapped last June when he was submitted by Karol Bedorf at KSW 44: The Game.
Prior to this defeat, Pudzianowski has been undefeated in three outings, scoring big wins against Jay Silva, Tyberiusz Kowalczyk, and Pawel Mikołajuw respectively.
The five-time World Strongest Man titlist has been with the promotion since 2009. He has collected 12 wins and six losses in his ten-year stay with the promotion.
For his showdown against Kolecki, he guarantees that his opponent will get harsh treatment.
“There will be no caressing. An ambulance will be needed.
“I have ten years of experience under my belt. He has only 18 months,” said Pudzianowski.
While Pudzianowski has been with KSW for ten years, the March 23 fight will be the first time Kolekci will step inside the KSW cage.
He spent the last two years wreaking havoc at Babilon MMA, UBS, and PLMMA, gathering an impressive 6-1 win-loss slate overall.
His most recent fight was against Michał Bobrowski at Babilon MMA 5, where his six-fight winning streak ended.
Despite Pudzianowki’s credentials, Kolecki says he is not intimidated and is serious in putting another stain on his MMA record.
“I don’t care that it is Mariusz, a strongman. I see him as a rival whom I have to defeat.”
Miroslaw Okninski, a pioneer at the Polish MMA who trained both fighters, has given his take on this interesting showdown.
“I trained both of them. I think Pudzian will be surprised when Szymon punches his face.”
“They’re both superstars. Szymon has smaller ego but bigger balls.”
Pudzian, on the contrary, has bigger ego, but smaller balls. That’s how I see it.”
