Mike Tyson SHREDS Floyd Mayweather For Muhammad Ali Comparison

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather just made himself more money in a little less than two minutes after destroying Tenshin Nasukawa via TKO in Japan on New Year’s Eve. But, does this make him better than boxing legends in the name of Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali?

Mayweather Vs Tenshin

GOAT

Mayweather is an undefeated boxer with an impressive 50-0 record, winning another exhibition match with a young fighter in his retirement. Speaking in an interview with ESPN before, he said he’s the best ever, even better than the great Muhammad Ali.

“What are we judging fighters on? If we’re judging them on standing for a cause, then (it’s) Ali, hands down. But if we’re talking about taking in less punishment and breaking records, it’s Floyd Mayweather.”

“Muhammad Ali paved the way for me to be where I’m at today. He’s a legend. But when we’re talking about record-breaking, we also got to talk about Ali lost to a fighter with seven fights. He lost his world title to a fighter with only seven fights.”

“So these are the things that we don’t look at. We only look at him standing for a cause which is a great thing because if Ali didn’t stand for that cause, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.”

“So I had to take my hat off to Ali, but I didn’t get in the sport to say that there’s another fighter better than me.”

Delusional

However, the fighter with the most number of knockouts in boxing is not buying Mayweather’s assessment. He responded to the ‘Money’ in brutal fashion, saying he’s nothing but a scared little man.

“He’s very delusional,” Tyson said.

“Listen, if he was anywhere near that realm of great as Muhammad Ali, he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself. OK, he can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great?”

“Greatness is not guarding yourself against the people. ‘It’s being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself. He’s a little scared man. He’s a very small, scared man.”
