After being the highest paid athlete over the last calendar year, Floyd Mayweather seems to be enjoying his hard-earned money. The retired boxer just bought one of the most expensive timepieces ever created.
While in Tokyo, Mayweather posted an Instagram video saying that the sparkly watch costs a staggering 18 million US dollars.
Mayweather shows off his new timepiece telling his Instagram followers, “If you don’t know about it, google Billionaire Watch.”
“That’s $18 Million on the price tag,” Mayweather said.
According to Mayweather, he bought the watch from a Japanese jeweller named Tadashi Fukushima. “He has better prices than any other jeweler that I’ve ever done business with ever and trust me, I’ve bought jewelry from every jeweler in NYC,” Mayweather said. He even pledged that he won’t be buying from any other jeweller aside from Fukushima.

“The Billionaire” watch is made by Jacob & Co, and it is said to be an entirely diamond set with 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds. The luxury watch was released in 2015, and it possibly holds the world record when it comes to carat weight, with some of its stones weighing up to 3 carats each.
The brand describes this Billionaire watch as “a dazzling representation of the courageous and rebellious Jacob & Co. spirit.”
This expensive timepiece is too big to fit an average hand, with a size of 47.5mm wide and a hefty length of 58mm. Of course, no one would dare to have it cut just to fit their wrist perfectly.
Meanwhile, some people say that they would rather buy a plane or a yacht if they had $18 million.
