UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway is in deep excitement before his fight was called off
However, the Hawaiian fighter’s condition
It was an unfortunate occurrence for Holloway because just hours before, he was greatly looking forward to his bout.
“I can’t wait!”
“It’s like the Super Bowl. This is like the Super Bowl Week for UFC. It feels huge and I can’t wait, you know. I got a lot of hype on this fight. Even the main event is saying they are super excited about this fight. So when you got the main event talking about the co-main, it means a lot.”
This is how the withdrawn fighter expressed his excitement over the fight in an interview just hours before his camp’s retreat. Some are saying that the champ isn’t already in good condition during this conversation but quitting is never an option.
This isn’t until he crashed and hardly woke up after the open workouts. His team says he also had a flashing vision and slurred speech during that time. It was alarming and so, they decided not to do it just days before the fight.
