Knockout Of The Year Contender
The year is already loaded with devastating boxing knockouts, seeing fighters taste the kiss of death, and another finish from Saturday’s affair just became one of the best actions of 2018. The undefeated boxing prospect, Lopez, set the bar high early for the Lomachenko-Pedraza fight card with a vicious knockout of his veteran opponent, seen as a strong contender for the Knockout of the Year.
Lopez squared off with Menard in the televised opener of the ESPN’s Top Rank fight and their showdown ended after just 44 seconds as Menard was brutally sent into the shadow realm. The 21-year old boxer landed a vicious overhand right early in the first round, putting Menard off-balance before landing on the floor with his face first on a scary sequence.
It may not be like the one-punch knockout of the boxing legend Mike Tyson but it sure gave fans early fireworks as they waited for the headlining act of the night. Watch it in the video below:

After the devastating knockout, the Brooklyn native followed it with his trademark ring antics, celebrating the win by doing a backflip and the Fortnite Dance. He then paid tribute to Oklahoma’s quarterback Kyler Murray by putting on his jersey and striking a Heisman pose.
