While it took Conor McGregor more than 400 words to break down his performance against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, the lightweight champion came up with just a few words to give his take on the Irish star’s recent statement.
The Dagestan phenom summed up his response in three words when he replied to a recent post from a UFC Instagram page that featured McGregor’s UFC 229 thoughts.

Khabib Keeps It Short and Simple
‘The Notorious’ took to the social media site on Tuesday to give his personal round-by-round analysis of his fight against Nurmagomedov. The former two-division champion admitted that the first two round went against his way, but he managed to pull off a timely comeback in the third before a costly mistake in the deciding frame took the fight out of him.
“After the shot I bounced back up to engage instantly, but again he dipped under to disengage. That is the sport and it was a smart move that led to a dominant round, so no issue. Well played.
If I stay switched on and give his stand up even a little more respect, that right hand never gets close and we are talking completely different now.”
“Round 3. After the worst round of my fighting career, I come back and win this round. Again walking forward, walking him down, and willing to engage. Round 4. My recovery was not where it could have been here. That is my fault.”
“It was a great fight and it was my pleasure. I will be back with my confidence high. Fully prepared. If it is not the rematch right away, no problem.”

Nurmagomedov has provided a cheeky response to this epic post-fight analysis of McGregor and for his part, he kept it short, simple, and shady. Nevertheless, Conor is surely familiar with these words as it was the exact message he told Khabib mid-fight.
Another win for Khabib!
