UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has won all 27 fights of his professional career including his latest majestic victory over Conor McGregor…
Appearing on Russian TV, ‘The Eagle’ revealed his horrible state a day before headlining UFC 229 in Las Vegas, Nevada. If his main card bout turned out to be a loss, Khabib wasn’t planning to disclose his alarming condition before facing ‘The Notorious.’

I would like to address @ufc Why didn't you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people? They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family? Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought. If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started. In any case, punish me, @zubairatukhugov has nothing to do with that. If you think that I’ll keep silent then you are mistaken. You canceled Zubaira’s fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor. But don’t forget that it was Conor who had hit my another Brother FIRST, just check the video. if you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise I'll break it myself. And one more thing, you can keep my money that you are withholding. You are pretty busy with that, I hope it won’t get stuck in your throat. We have defended our honor and this is the most important thing. We intend to go to the end. #Brothers
Talking about the night prior to the fight, Khabib said he was forced to sleep after a day of having seizures and feeling very ill. In a translated version of his interview, the 30-year-old said:
“Honestly, I slept better than ever. You know why? Because I didn’t sleep for 24 hours before it all. I had a very hard weight cut.”
“I was on weight seven hours before weigh-ins, I was throwing up even though I didn’t have anything inside. I felt really bad. I wouldn’t tell you all this if I lost because it would sound like excuses.”
“…and you know, the psychological aspect is very important. It comes first and only then comes physical skills.”
Khabib then admitted how offended he was despite staying silent amid all the Dubliner’s pre-fight mockery and insults. We all know how the Russian champ turned loose when he jumped off the Octagon to attack McGregor’s cornerman who’s allegedly provoking him mid-fight.
“I was offended that all the hype leading up to this fight focused on the idea that he attacked and I didn’t get off the bus. It was a shame and I asked the Almighty for the fight to happen and the cage door to close with us in it so everyone could find out who is who. Who actually sits on the bus and who doesn’t. Conor actually defended well against the choke, he tucked his chin down, but he had no other choice.”
Not A Choke
However, a more surprising revelation was made when Khabib belied claims that he defeated the former champ-champ with a rear-naked choke. He said Conor didn’t tap out because he was out of breath, but because he had no choice.
“You know, not everyone will understand, it was jaw fracturing, [the] jaw was pressured. You can black out by choke, but if your jaw is under pressure, if your spirit is not broken, then your bones will be.”
“So he didn’t have any options.”
