UFC’s Henry Cejudo Calls Out Vasyl Lomachenko And Gets Completely Roasted

UFC two-weight champion Henry Cejudo has brought up the idea of fighting Vasyl Lomachenko, but the unified lightweight kingpin is not buying it.

In the wake of the bare-knuckle clash between Artem Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi, Cejudo took to Twitter to call out the boxing’s pound-for-pound king.

Lobov is a former UFC fighter while Malignaggi is a former WBA welterweight champion.

This gave him the idea of a potential crossover fight between him and Lomachenko.

Cejudo is coming off a triumphant outing against Marlon Moraes at UFC 238 to add the vacant bantamweight championship to his flyweight title and his Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling.

With Lobov pulling off a stunning decision win over Malignaggi, Cejudo is confident that he would fare well against Lomachenko.

In a Twitter post, Cejudo wrote:

“Artem Lobov (13-15,MMA) former UFC fighter wins by unanimous victory over Paulie Malagnaggi (36-8, ,Boxing) former World Champion . What do you think an Olympic & #UFC champ Champ would do to #boxing‘s @VasylLomachenko?”

Loma Sets Cejudo On Fire

Lomachenko, who is considered as the best boxer in the planet today, responded by posting a video of his most recent opponent in Anthony Crolla with a caption “Here’s an example of how it will be!”

But that did not stop Cejudo as he continued to provoke the unified champion by writing: “We all know what happened the last time you fought a Mexican warrior. Whose hand got raised again?🇲🇽 #bendtheknee”

Getting more savage, the Ukranian boxing star told Cejudo in his response, “You don’t understand anything in boxing.”

To which Triple C replied: “I understand fighting & winning.I understand U know wrestling, sambo , & how to kick . I know U like that UFC Gold On ur shoulder. Well that Belongs to me now & I have 21 more lbs of Gold to go w/ it . Let’s kick it . Ty ponimayesh?’ (Finishing with Russian for ‘Do you understand?’)”

Out For Five Months

The UFC double champion would be out for the rest of the year after undergoing a shoulder surgery as he tore his subscapularis muscle in the first round of the UFC 238 main event.

“Hey Guys , Triple C here with today’s breaking news. I will be on the sidelines for the next months to come. In my @ufc Bantamweight World title fight 10 days ago, I tore my rotator cuff late in the first round .”

“In all my years of competing, I have never had an injury that requires intrusive surgery, so this is new to me.”

“Everything in Life happens for a reason. This will make me better,'” Cejudo wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Lomachenko has been undefeated in the past 11 outings and since losing to Orlando Salido in 2014.

He unified the WBA and WBO lightweight titles last December before successfully defending the belts against Crolla last April.
