Russia has one of the most violent hooligan clubs in the world and a lot of fans fear them. These Russian soccer hooligans will immediately start a brawl against opposing fans as soon as they catch sight of them. However, they’re not just throwing punches during a fight because they are skilled fighters.
They are training martial arts for the sole purpose of beating up other soccer hooligans and fans.

As said by Igor Lebedev, a member of the Russian parliament, he doesn’t see anything wrong with the fighting. He believes that they are not hooligans and they’re just doing what they have to do to support their teams. “With their hearts and minds” as the Russians say.
It is said to believe that in England, Football hooliganism has existed since the 14th century. However, the hooligan fights then were far more brutal than they are today. Dr. Daniel Wann of Murray State University told The New York Times that one of the possible reasons why people become so aggressive at sports events “is that fans see the team as an extension of themselves, and so feel personally threatened by a loss.”

Today, the 2018 World Cup is currently on-going, and Russian fans are surely all eyes and ears at each game.
