The madness continues.
UFC President Dana White decided not to award the lightweight strap to Khabib Nurmagomedov last Saturday, following a chaotic brawl that ensued seconds after he finished bitter rival Conor McGregor via a fourth-round submission.
Days after the controversial and historic UFC 229, the Russian champ took to Instagram and issued a stern warning to White if he did not give him his championship belt. The promotion chief, meanwhile, came up with a brilliant response.

Khabib Keeps His Lightweight Title
Nurmagomedov would likely to be punished after displaying an unsportsmanlike behaviour last weekend, which sparked bigger brawls at the T-mobile Arena. The repercussions might include a hefty fine and a lengthy suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The NSAC has already decided to freeze ‘The Eagle’s’ disclosed $2 million purse while an investigation into the post-fight melee is ongoing.
The Dagestan native is lucky to have dodged a big bullet as the promotion itself decided not to strip him of his lightweight title. White confirmed that Nurmagomedov will be keeping his strap and disagreed with NSAC withholding his entire paycheck.
He told TMZ:
“He absolutely keeps his title. And he’s going to get suspended, so maybe you give him a four-to-six month suspension. Listen, [the NAC] took his whole purse right now, and they’re talking about keeping his purse. I do not think that that should happen. You should not be able to keep his whole purse. … I think they should take $250,000 from him.”
Meanwhile, he expressed his disappointment on Khabib’s decision to attack one of McGregor’s cornermen in Dillon Danis, following his dominant victory over the UFC megastar.
“I don’t think there’s too many people who don’t understand why he did it, but he shouldn’t have done it. He’s the world champion. He just beat Conor in front of the entire world. Stand up, get that belt wrapped around you. You won, you won. The guy who’s yelling at you means nothing. That guy means nothing.”

Perfect Clap Back
Eventually, the UFC gave the lightweight belt to Nurmagomedov, probably stemming from the fear of getting a backlash from Khabib’s legion of fans.
However, the Russian champ still called out the UFC chief on social media and threatened White to smash his car if they did the other way around.
He posted on Instagram:
But White came up with a perfect clap back. He commented:
“LMFAO!!! I’m telling your father.”
The UFC never runs out of madness!
