Some siblings complain about their parents having favourites among the children. In the UFC, it’s almost safe to assume that President Dana White has his too.
White and former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor sit on a great relationship, in terms of camaraderie and business. Though we all know that the MMA promoter and the ‘Notorious’ have made a lot of money together, they sure have issues too.

You’re absolutely aware of how McGregor
Dana White has recently shared how great of a fighter he thinks McGregor is — also revealing the biggest concern he has on the Dubliner’s attitude. Speaking on Barstool Sports podcast, the UFC boss said:
“Is Conor hard to deal with here and there? Yeah but he’s worth it. If people ask me what’s the biggest problem you have with Conor? It’s not showing up on time.”
“We’re a global sport so when we do these press conferences, we’re on television networks all over the world that are taking this press conference. So they’re live and they’re ready to go and if Conor doesn’t show up for another 30 minutes, it’s a problem.”
“We’ve got to fill the time and not only fill the time but keep people interested and get them willing to stick around which is tough to do these days.”
He’d Be Perfect
Apart from that single McGregor attitude White, as a promoter, is allergic to, the UFC chief is all hail at McGregor.
“Other than that, Conor’s incredible. Conor’s a fun guy to be around, he’s hilarious, he’s a great fighter, he’s fun to watch. If the guy showed up on time, he’d literally be perfect. He’d be perfect.”
The Irish fighter is currently on the waiting end for Nevada State Athletic Commission’s decision on his UFC 229 post-fight brawl with Khabib’s team. He and the undefeated lightweight champion are expected to appear in front of the NSAC in late January.
While nothing is official yet, White is reportedly eyeing for the McGregor-Poirier rematch next, and a blockbuster battle between Khabib and first-ranked lightweight contender Tony Ferguson.
