Conor McGregor was just welcomed with a nasty submission defeat on his MMA return. But now, he’s back to fight with confidence against anyone who’ll come his way.
On Monday, the Irish Mirror reported a rumoured matchup between ‘The Notorious’ and multiple record-holding

After his successful armbar win, the 35-year-old welterweight hinted what seems to be the biggest fight possible at this point, to be catered at 155. In his post-fight interview, Cerrone revealed the pitch but not the name.
“There is someone, they already came up and told me. There’s your clickbait. You son of a bitch, you ain’t gonna get me to say it. Not gonna happen. They told me the who for once in my life first. 155. It’s very exciting. Guy’s very exciting. You’ll like it. You’ll all like it.”
However, in a recent social media post, ‘Cowboy’ tipped off on a possible showdown against none other than the UFC’s biggest star, former champ-champ Conor McGregor.
Just Waiting On Him
The Dubliner and the native of Colorado have a bit of history, briefly exchanging words on a pre-fight press conference from a few years back. Now, ‘Cowboy’ is apparently just playing the waiting game for McGregor’s ‘yes’ to make the lightweight match happen
Though the Irish superstar initially set his sights on a rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov, he said he’s prepared to take on a fight against anyone.
Since both fighters want a crack at Khabib, this potential bout could lead one of them to a shot at the lightweight title. Anyway, Conor’s return is still in limbo as he and “The Eagle” are facing suspensions after starting an ugly post-fight melee at UFC 229.
Once finalised, the UFC is looking at a fight between two of the best strikers in the game today; and some very intriguing pre-fight trash talk of course.
