“It’s Time!”

Now that he is recovering from the loss, another fighter wants to have a shot against the Irish combatant, and that is Jose Aldo. Aldo is a Brazilian fighter who formerly holds the UFC featherweight title.

Aldo and McGregor squared off in one of the biggest UFC featherweights bouts way back at UFC 194. It was a historic match because Conor knocked out the then-tagged greatest featherweight fighter of all time within 13 seconds of the very first round.

Up to the present, this defeat remains one of the heaviest upsets in UFC history since the Irish fighter broke the Brazilian legend’s 18-fight winning streak. Of course, it is one of the bouts that led McGregor to his now-well-celebrated MMA career.

The former featherweight kingpin found Conor’s recent defeat as an opportunity to call for a well-deserved rematch. He took this call out to social media posting a face-off photo captioned: “It’s time!”

Aldo is coming off a first-round TKO win over Jeremy Stephens in Calgary last July. After his first stoppage win in nearly five years, Aldo has always been vocal to moving up a weight class and join UFC’s 155-pound ranks.

The Brazilian fighter has never failed to express how much he wanted this rematch to happen. Unfortunately, Conor seems to have his sights set at getting an immediate rematch against Khabib. On Twitter, the former two-division champ posted:

Many fans are also calling out for McGregor to pay Aldo a rematch before fighting Khabib again. We’ll have to wait until Conor drops his decision.
