Conor McGregor’s Alleged Victim Releases Video About The Incident

The MMA world had not made much noise in the past days except, of course, when Conor McGregor had a run-in with the law in Miami, Florida.

In case you are living under the rocks, former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor was arrested and charged for multiple counts on Monday night after he allegedly smashed and stole a fan’s mobile device in Miami Beach.

“The Notorious” lost his cool following the fan’s attempt to take a photo of him, which led him smashing the phone out of his hand and stomping on it several times before walking away with the device.

He walked out of jail on the same night after posting a $12-500 bail.

His victim, Ahmed Abdirzak, has provided details on what exactly happened on the heated confrontation, labelling McGregor as a dangerous thug who doesn’t follow standard rules.

Now the internet is roasting Abdirzak after his photos were released online and his recent statement about the incident.

Breaking His Silence

According to Abdirzak, who is a restaurant manager from the UK, he and his friends were waiting for the rental car when they saw McGregor on his way out of the hotel.

Then things turned worse when the victim took out his iPhone 8 in an attempt to take a photo of the UFC megastar.

“He reached out his left hand to greet me, to shake my hand. But then he held my arm so I couldn’t get away,’ said Ahmed.”

“His grip was insane. I could tell he was a professional athlete. I thought he’s going to hit me. I was shocked.”

“I looked into his face, and his eyes were bulging. He was so angry. I don’t know whether he was drunk or on drugs, but he looked f***ked.”

“I just remained passive, I didn’t want to fight. Then with his right hand, he punched the phone. It was so hard I felt the impact through my entire body.”

“He did his swagger dance and headed to his black SUV with his entourage surrounding him.”

“I tried to run after him and asked for it back, but he just laughed.”

“He walked away with that trademark McGregor strut that you see him enter the ring within UFC.”

“I’m not going to lie, I was scared for my life – the guy is a lethal weapon,” he told The Daily Mail.

He also shared the same story in his interview with TMZ Sports. Watch it below:

Cashing In?

Some fans were not happy after the alleged victim aired his side on the Miami incident. They came to McGregor defence and accused Abdirzak of just trying to harass the UFC star to cash in.

Here are some of the comments from Reddit:

“This is exactly the kind of guy you’d expect to harass celebrities outside a night club.”

“I’ve never been more of a Mcgregor fan than after seeing this dude.”

“I couldn’t care less about this arrest personally, the guy was obviously just trying to get a reaction outta Conor and he got one. The guy is legit trying to run a smear campaign on Conor lol.”

“Dude said McGregor hit the billy strut on him after he smashed his phone lmao Idk why but that made me laugh.”

“Man fuck this guy. There’s a video that will be released soon. He’s just a parasite that is cashing in.”
