Conor McGregor Says Khabib Has Overrated Grappling

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov met six months ago in a clash dubbed as the battled between the best grappler and best striker in the lightweight division. But the Irish star just admitted that he is not a fan of his rival’s grappling skills.

Six months after their historic UFC 229 main event showdown, McGregor is not yet done providing new details on his ugly loss to the reigning lightweight champ.

Just three days ago, Conor claimed he was seriously injured before the fight. Now, the former two-weight champ is firing a shot on Khabib and his grappling skills.

Overrated Grappling

On Saturday, McGregor continues with his usual social media activities. This time, he made his predictions on the UFC 236 main event bout, which will feature two of his former opponents in Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway.

“UFC 236 TONIGHT on ESPN+

Two former opponents of mine go head to head for a second time, in what will surely be a thriller!

I predict another stoppage victory for Dustin in the sequel.

It is always exciting to see former foes compete, and who knows, maybe future foes again also.”

After a fan dished out some facts regarding his two previous losses, “The Notorious” dismissed the fan’s claim as Khabib being the best in grappling in the UFC.

“Thank you!

However having felt it in there, I highly disagree with the “best grappler in the UFC” comment regarding Khabib.

My solely defensive guard was not passed until round 4.

I, along with my team, overrated his grappling greatly.

The rematch will show all.”

Who do you think will win the rematch between McGregor and Nurmagomedov?
