WATCH: Conor McGregor Walks Out Of Jail After Posting $12,500 Bail

Conor McGregor was able to steer his name away from negative attention after refraining from posting rude remarks in the past few weeks. However, his temper got the better of the Irish star again after he got arrested in Miami for smashing and stealing a fan’s phone.

The UFC’s two-division champion is in conflict with the law once more.

According to the Miami Police affidavit, a man named Ahmed Abdirzak from England approached McGregor and tried to take a photo of him with his phone.

Instead of smiling for the camera, for some reason, ‘The Notorious’ apparently knocked the device out of Abdirzak’s grip and crushed it on the floor before carrying it up to himself and walking away.

The incident took place at 5:20 in the morning while the arrest happened a little over twelve hours later at 5:56 PM.

Arrested and Charged

Miami Beach Police Department later posted a report on Twitter with a caption:

“MBPD has arrested and charged Conor McGregor, DOB: 7/14/88, with Strong Arm Robbery and Criminal Mischief, both felonies. Please see arrest report and booking photo below. No additional information will be provided.”

After so, the Dubliner’s lawyer released an update on the arrest and said that a ‘minor altercation’ has McGregor jailed and is now cooperating with the authorities in working on the case.

“Statement from Conor McGregor’s lawyer: “Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement.”

“Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation,” ESPN’s Ariel Helwani wrote on Twitter.

Leaves Jail

Of course, pretty much every mixed martial arts fan knows that his latest felony charge isn’t McGregor’s first run-in with the law.

The most famous of which the 30-year-old combat star was involved in a case of violence was when he hurled a dolly at a bus full of UFC fighters in search for lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov.

This bus attack led him to getting arrested and charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief. At his arraignment, he had an added charge of reckless endangerment and was released on $50,000 bond.

Currently, McGregor is serving a six-month fighting ban from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his role in the all-out post-fight fracas at UFC 229 where Khabib submitted him via fourth-round choke to retain the title.

Now, CBS Miami released a footage of Conor McGregor walking out of police custody after posting a $12,500-bail in Miami-Dade County. The local broadcasting station wrote:

“WATCH: Footage from moments ago as MMA star Conor McGregor leaves jail in Miami-Dade County. He was arrested earlier today after allegedly smashing a man’s phone and taking it.”
