Conor McGregor Hints At Joining WWE After Wrestlemania 35

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship stars, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar, fell short in their respective campaign in the recently-concluded Wrestlemania 35.

Lesnar, who has been linked to a possible return to mixed martial arts, lost his WWE Universal Championship to Seth Rollins in the opening match.

Rousey, meanwhile, suffered her first pinfall loss in her wrestling career in a failed attempt to capture both Raw and Smackdown women’s title.

In the past weeks, there were rumours circulating online claiming another big name in MMA is set to follow the footsteps of Lesnar and Rousey.

Fans are speculating on Conor McGregor’s possible shift to professional wrestling after he announced last month that he is hanging up his gloves again, with some WWE stars hinting on his potential appearance at the April event.

After Becky Lynch emerged victorious at the Wrestlemania 35 main event, “The Notorious” took to social media and teased potential jump to pro wrestling.

Rousey Out, McGregor In?

On Sunday night, Rousey returned to actions after a successful outing against Dana Brooke in last month’s WWE Raw.

She tussled with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in the Wrestlemania 35 headliner, which was the first time female wrestlers were pitted in the main event.

After Lynch forced Flair to tap out, she went on to pin Rousey to win the Raw and Smackdown titles, with the loss casting more doubts on the future of former UFC champ with WWE.

Meanwhile, another UFC star in McGregor has been linked to joining WWE.

Shortly after Lynch seized the historic titles, the Irish MMA megastar congratulated the Irish wrestling sensation and dropped a hint on a potential career shift.

“Congrats to Ireland’s Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ.”

“What a match these ladies put on!”

“Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty!”

“Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I…”

The former two-weight champion has backflipped from his previous decision to retire from fighting, following an ugly Twitter feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

As of now, there are no clear signs as to where he is heading, whether he will back on the UFC cage or join WWE.

Let’s hope it’s not the latter.
