Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone’s journey to getting their match done has been rough and until now, the UFC has not yet sealed the deal. That’s apparently due to one simple reason according to colour commentator Joe Rogan.

    Co-Main Event

Now, Rogan drops another substantial information about the status of the match on his MMA Show podcast with Brendan Schaub.

According to the American stand-up comedian, the obstacle that’s blocking the road towards the McGregor vs Cowboy showdown was the compromise of assigning it only as a co-main event battle.

“They were trying to do Cowboy vs Conor and apparently the sticking point was that it was going to be a co-main event. I think the idea was that they had to have world titles as a main event,” Rogan stated.

“Part of the thrill of these things, it’s got to be Ragin Al,” he added, referring to White’s recent statement that they are pairing Cerrone up with Al Iaquinta.
