No matter which one you choose, you can perform the treatment for a maximum of three to five days, once per two months.
As mentioned, colon irrigation is actually flushing water through your system. So, instead of doing it with a pump going through your rectum, why not do it the natural way? All you need to do is drink 12 glasses of water per day. You will notice that you’ll go to bathroom more often, but that’s a good thing. As a bonus, drinking water will improve your digestive system and keep you hydrated. Good hydration is essential for the skin as well.
If you are looking for home remedies for colon cleansing, nothing comes close to apple juice. It has to be fresh apple juice, though. You know the saying “an apple per day keeps the doctor away”? Well, it also keeps your colon healthy, encourages bowel movement and improves the health of the whole digestive system.
Drink one glass of unfiltered apple juice in the morning, and then drink another glass of water 30 minutes later. Repeat the routine through the day, and continue doing this for three days.
Lemon juice is also good for a colon cleanse. Being rich in vitamin C surely helps, and lemon packs many other healthy nutrients. For this treatment, you need one lemon, some sea salt, and little honey. Squeeze the lemon in a glass, add the ingredients and lukewarm water to top it off. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Follow the treatment for few days.
Raw vegetable juice
If you want to kick things up a notch, you can prepare raw vegetable juice. Vegetables are rich in fiber, but also in vitamin C and chlorophyll. To maximize the benefits of ginger and use it as a colon cleanser, mix one teaspoon of ginger juice and one-quarter cup of lemon juice. Alternatively, you can mix ginger with two cups of hot water. If you can’t stand the taste, add some honey to improve the taste. Drink throughout the day. Note: pregnant women should avoid this remedy.
