Stipe Miocic may have lost the heavyweight belt to Daniel Cormier early this month, but he is once again feeling the championship vibe after his wife gave birth to their first child.
On Wednesday, the “Veteran Voice of the Octagon”, Bruce Buffer, took matters in his own hands in announcing the great news about the Miocic family. This time, he did not yell his famous “IT’S TIME!” line. He, instead, introduced the arrival of a future MMA star.
Future World Champion
The voice of Bruce Buffer is often heard in UFC matches. For almost four decades, he has been the voice behind great intros for the world’s most famous mixed martial artists.
On Wednesday, he once again proved that he gives the best introductions in the world. But this time, it is not to signal an MMA fight but to announce the arrival of what he believes a future champion of the world.
With Miocic and his wife welcoming their first child, they acquired the service of the popular announcer. In an Instagram post, a picture of Meelah Claire contains a play button with Buffer making the epic announcement.
“Ladies and gentleman, on this very special day, July 25, 2018, a VERY SPECIAL baby was born at 1:50 PM! Standing 21-inches tall, weighing in at eight-pounds, nine-ounces. PRESENTING, the FUTURE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD … MEELAH … CLAIRE … MIOCIC!”
A Win After the Loss
Miocic had a rough start for this month. Last July 6, the former heavyweight king lost his division title to eventual champ Daniel Cormier at the UFC 226.
The loss came after DC knocked him out in just the opening round of their highly-anticipated clash. But as a professional fighter, he remained gracious in defeat.
He, then, went back to Cleveland to resume father duties and spend time with his family. His loss to DC may have been a painful setback, but as they have welcomed their first child, Miocic has replaced the pain with great joy in his heart. Thanks to this super cute and adorable Meelah Claire!
Welcome to the world, future champ!
