A lot of people are rooting Ronda Rousey ever since she signed up for WWE, but not everyone was happy about the UFC Hall of Famer’s change in career.
Among these people was Sasha Banks, who had doubts about the arrival of Rousey.
During Banks’ recent guesting on the CBS In This Corner Podcast, she admits that she wasn’t thrilled that Rousey was joining WWE’s female locker room.
“When I first heard that she was gonna be here, I was a little like, ‘huh, that’s not really fair,” Banks revealed.
Although Banks warmly welcomed Rousey, she wasn’t looking forward on what’s going to happen. Banks was WWE’s cream of the crop, but she had already known that this wasn’t going to last for too long with Rousey’s appearance.
To no one’s surprise, Banks was absolutely right. However, Rousey wasn’t just able to outshine everyone, but she has also become WWE’s current main attraction.
Banks explained how Rousey has managed to adjust since joining the WWE roster.
“She had been killing it. She’s proven all the doubters wrong, and it’s so crazy to see her matches,” she said. “I’m like in shock, I’m in awe. I loved her match at WrestleMania, I loved her match at Money in the Bank, and I definitely think she’s one to watch. I can’t believe Money in the Bank was only her second match and I am so impressed, and I hope I get to wrestle her in the future and I’m really excited for her here in the WWE and she really has been killing it,” Banks added.

Banks also commended Rousey for her overall performance, including her selling. She said, “She was entertaining. For me, I feel like she gets it, and I think it’s because she was a fan growing up. She knows what our audience wants to see, and she makes me feel everything that she’s going through. I think that’s one of the hardest things about being a WWE superstar, which is making people feel whether she’s hurt or not.”
Although Banks was not initially enthusiastic about Rousey’s WWE signing, she now admits that she’s a big fan of the former UFC fighter.
Banks has witnessed Rousey prove that she deserves the spotlight she’s in now and admits that she’s happy that Rousey is now with WWE.
