Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn flew to Los Angeles, California in an attempt to secure a massive clash between two heavyweight superstars, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.
The 39-year old promoter is targeting a blockbuster world title fight between the WBC heavyweight champion and the unified heavyweight world champion, following a classic match-up between Wilder and Tyson Fury last weekend. Wilder’s camp has confirmed that their talent is very interested in facing Joshua. Meanwhile, the current IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO heavyweight champ is unfazed by the 33-year-old American.

Hearn Eyes Wilder-Joshua Fight For April 2019
Hearn is looking to play spoiler on a potential Fury-Wilder rematch as he tries to get a done deal involving the “Bronze Bomber” and AJ. The English promoter has offered Wilder a $15-million fight purse to lock horns with Joshua earlier this year but to no avail.
Now, Hearn is back on the US soil to discuss a massive showdown between the two heavyweight champions for April 13 at Wembley. He said that the result of Saturday tussle has worked into their favours as a knockout by Wilder would make it harder for them to negotiate.
“If anything, the way that fight went on Saturday works in our favour in terms of getting Wilder. That has always been the fight we want because he has the last belt. Now, let’s say he had beat Fury in two rounds – the negotiation will be a lot harder than after a draw where many think he was lucky to keep his WBC title. That goes in our favour. It might also be the case that Wilder fancies his chances in a punch-out with AJ rather than another go at Fury. As far as AJ is concerned, he will fight anyone. He would love Wilder next and he has always wanted Fury.”
Rank these heavyweights 1 to 3.

Wilder Is Interested
Following a controversial split decision draw last weekend, both boxers have expressed their desire for a rematch, with ‘The Gypsy King’ seen as the early favourite to win the next fight. However, the 30-year-old may be denied of another title shot as the ‘Bronze Bomber’ is reportedly interested in challenging the unified champion. Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel shared that the Joshua fight is an option for the American champ.
“We’re very interested in the fight. if he wants to be professional and keep it in a private discussion, I’m open to it. If everything is in the paper, I have no desire to discuss anything, and let him go fight who he wants.”
The 29-year-old Briton has responded to this news, calling Wilder a “fool” and accused his team of underestimating his fellow Brit, Fury, in their recent bout.
What took this fool so long? Like we ain’t been interested?!! 🙄Anyway well done Fury! they wanted to get you because they assumed you was finished!! I’ll give you a fair one when your ready! Either one of you! https://t.co/RlytsIrnud

Joshua last saw actions in September, when he successfully defended his belts against Alexander Povetkin with a seventh-round technical knockout victory.
