Who doesn’t love a good spooky story, right? These scary stories will seriously creep you out, so don’t say we didn’t warn you. The good news is that they’re all two sentence horror stories. The bad news is that means the horrible-ness of each story is condensed into a bite-sized chunk. Oh, you want to read on? Well you are a brave soul! Enjoy these two sentence horror stories!
There was a picture in my phone of me sleeping. But I live alone…
So this one is super weird. Imagine that, finding a picture in your phone, of you sleeping? It’s just too much to even think about. That would mean that someone has come into your room and taken a photo of you, and then vanished right into thin air.
My sister says that mommy killed her. Mommy says I don’t have a sister.
This is a sad one, but and it does involve a touch of murder. Apparently the mother killed her daughter, but the truth is that the daughter never actually existed. Someone is telling a little lie here. Either that, or there is some serious supernatural spookiness going on.
You hear your mom calling you into the kitchen. As you’re heading down the stairs, you hear a whisper from the closet saying “Don’t go down there, honey… I heard it too!”
Mothers are known for calling you down to the kitchen whenever some delicious baked treats are ready. They are also known for calling you down when there are pots left out and anything else of the sort, but the problem is, what do you do when your mother wasn’t actually the one who shouted you? And that they heard the voice too? Weird.
The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting nails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock it read 12:06…
Okay this one will absolutely give you some nightmares. The last thing that this dude saw was the time, and then this horrible scary creature pushed her fingernails right into his chest. That has to be the worst feeling right there. That’s what’s great about two sentence horror stories. They don’t have to ramble on to make you feel spooked out.
I can’t move, breathe, speak or hear and it’s so dark all the time. If I knew it would be this lonely, I would have been cremated instead!
Have you ever thought about being buried alive? Sure you have, everyone has at some point. Well this one will really creep you out. Imagine not being able to move, speak, breathe or hear. It would be so dark all of the time and the worst of it is, there is no escape. Nobody will know that you’re there… Forever!
I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my newborn child. As I adjusted to a new position, my arm brushed against my wife, still asleep next to me.
This one may screw with your mind and it is very creepy to say the least. Something happening to your kids has to be every parent’s worst nightmare, even if it isn’t traditionally ‘spooky’.
After struggling desperately to move any part of his paralytic body just to alert the doctors that he was conscious before they made the first incision, he was relieved to see that one of the nurses noticed his pupils dilating from the bright light. She leaned in close and, in a whisper that tickled his ear, said “you think we don’t know you’re awake?”
Two sentence horror stories can still be long, so long as there are only two sentences! There really is nothing to add… Imagine being on the operating table, being able to feel every cut. And then imagine that instead of trying to help you, the surgeon’s actually trying to hurt you. The worst kind of torture.
My daughter won’t stop crying and screaming in the middle of the night. I visit her grave and ask her to stop, but it doesn’t help.
Again, there’s no more primal fear than something happening to your kids. The panic, the anxiety of knowing that something’s wrong; then the incomparable loss if the worst happens. The grief and pain that you feel. In this story, there is no telling what could happen next, but that is more than enough to keep you awake at night. Good luck!
I wake up and everything feels wrong; it’s too quiet outside. I look out the window and see everyone standing still, looking at my house.
It’s weird enough somebody staring at you when you walk by them in the street. What if everyone was staring at you? Everything just feels wrong and that is one of the many reasons why you need to stop reading these stories right now before you never sleep again.
The doctors told the amputee he might experience a phantom limb from time to time. Nobody prepared him for the moments when he would feel cold fingers brush against his ‘phantom’ hand.
The doctors told the guy who had an amputation done that he may experience phantom limbs from time to time. Nothing else could prepare him for what he could go through next, and he suddenly felt cold fingers brush past his phantom hand. Imagine if that happened to you, you seriously would not be the same again and this could have easily happened to someone in the past.
Working the night shift alone tonight. There’s a face in the cellar staring at the security camera.
Two sentence horror stories can’t get much shorter than this one. Five Nights At Freddy’s much? We still don’t know what happened to this guy, but only time will tell if the new security guard position is going to be filled anytime soon.
Still reading? You’re a real trooper with nerves of steel. Go on, see how long it takes you to get to sleep at night. Just hope that you don’t see a blank face staring at you the window, or hear some scratching at the foot of the bed…
